Poetic Poise

πŸ‘€NEW DESIGNπŸ‘€

Well no new design collection of birds with necks & heads in the shape of a heart would be complete without one with the ever enchanting and always romantic swans! May I introduce to you:

Poetic Poise  - The Swan is a symbol of purity, beauty, grace, love and elegance.

The swan is an attentive and extremely protective mother. In some cultures the swan is a symbol of the motherly love and motherhood.

Fun facts about swans:

Trumpeter swans, like the ones on my lake, are massive birds, being the heftiest bird to take the skies in North America and can fly up to 60 miles per hour.

Swans mate for life ️ , but there are rare occasions of adultery. They commit to each other because they have learned together how to raise successful clutches year after year. They also commit to each other because they are stronger and fiercer protectors of their family together than apart.

 Swans live for 20-30 years!

Swans have upward of 25,00 feathers on their bodies.

Swans form the legendary heart ️ symbol with their necks while performing their mating ritual. They will face each other, fluff up their feathers, lift their wings, and then bow their head and necks creating romantic pose and forming the much adored heart shape. Romantic looking absolutely romantic sounding, well not so much, there are quite noisy.

🎢 Swan Song Fact or Fiction - It is a myth, per ritual above, that swans only sing when dying, the popular “swan’s song” is a based only on poetic license. The trumpeter swans here in North America actually have a coiled windpipe and they make the loud and easily identifiable ‘HONKING’ sound.

️ Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i
