👀NEW DESIGN👀

Angelic Aphrodisiac– columbines on a bed of archangel leaves.

The columbine has many meanings from love, desire, faith, winning and foolishness.

The columbine flower symbolizes love and is associated with the ancient Greeks and Roman goddess of love Aphrodite/Venus, the goddesses of love. It is also connected with the Norse goddess of love Freya. It is said in Swedish folklore that the blossoms were made into potion and given to brides on their wedding night.

In Celtic legend the columbines were a portal from the spiritual world to this world.

Austrians associate the columbine with five doves in a circle because that is what they see looking at this flower.

In the Victorian era this flower was associated with winning and gifting this flower meant you were determined to win something or someone’s affections.

They symbolism of foolishness is derived from is looks of a court jester’s hat.

Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.

Lapis Lady

Lapis Lady -  This is a checkered blue butterfly that belongs in a family of gossamer winged butterflies.  Gossamer winged butterflies are generally small and their wings are seem delicate and glisten.

Blue is the scarcest color in nature.  Plants have no blue pigments, actually the blue you do see in nature is not a pigment at all!

Animals that display blue color is due to the way the molecules are structured and how they interact with light.  The molecules are shaped is such a way that it bends the light to a specific wavelength when it reaches our eye that we see blue.  Change the shape or what is filling the space between them and we would see something different.  Blue feathers and even our blue eyes all have to due with the refraction of light.  There is only one exception of a true blue occurring in nature and that is the Obrina Olivewing butterfly and it is said that less than 10% of 280,000 species of flowering plants produce blue flowers, and those  plants are not using a blue pigment but a red pigment. It takes the mixing of pigments, ph levels and light refraction that creates the color blue.  As a matter of fact bluebells, morning glories and even hydrangeas have no true blue pigment!

The butterfly as I have mentioned symbolizes a person’s soul.

In ancient Greek the word for butterfly is "Psyche", which translated means "soul".  Psyche is the Greek Goddess of souls 🧚️.   Butterflies are believed to represent one’s essence that encompasses their past, present and future.  They also represent good luck and joy.  Butterflies are believed to be grantors of wishes.  Setting a butterfly free you are to place a wish on their wings and they will carry that wish to the heavens to be granted.

The butterfly is the Celtic Zodiac for those born between September 30th thru October 27th.  Those born under this sign are said to be extremely social hence the phrase, “Social Butterfly”.   They are known to have a joyful personality and a cheery disposition.  They are intuitively empathetic and people are drawn to their positive aura.

The Mandarin Chinese word for butterfly is "hu-tieh". "Tieh" means "70 years", therefore butterflies have become a symbol for a long life.

Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.
