The butterfly is the Celtic Zodiac for those born between
September 30th thru October 27th.  Those born under this sign are said to be extremely social hence the phrase, “Social Butterfly”.   They are known to have a joyful personality and a cheery disposition.  They are intuitively empathetic and people are drawn to their positive aura.

The Mandarin Chinese word for butterfly is "hu-tieh". "Tieh" means "70 years", therefore butterflies have become a symbol for a long life. If a butterfly crosses your path, it means good luck. In the Japanese culture butterflies are thought to be representative of young maidens and marital bliss. In ancient Greek the word for butterfly is "Psyche", which translated means "soul". Butterflies also symbolize: Resurrection, Transition, Celebration, Lightness, Time and Soul.

Delightful Daffodils

Wishing you all a delightful day and may your heart be filled with wonder.

Delightful Daffodils - The daffodil symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings and has become synonymous with spring. The daffodil is also a sign of winter’s end.

The Latin name for daffodil is Narcissus. It is believed to be named after the son of the river god from Greek mythology. Narcissus was
celebrated for his beauty, but he was arrogant. The goddess Nemesis noticed this and lured him to a pool where he fell in love with his own reflection.

Some sources say while he was staring at his reflection nymphs transformed him into a narcissus flower to get revenge for how he
treated them. Others think he drowned trying to capture his reflection, and the flowers growing along the riverbed were named after him. Some even liken the nodding heads of daffodil flowers to Narcissus bending down and gazing at his
reflection.

Daffodils are also valued in China. They bloom around Chinese New Year, and symbolize good luck, prosperity, and good fortune.

Daffodils are often given on ten year wedding anniversaries to mean joy, cheerfulness, and happiness.

Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i

Auspicious Aurora

Auspicious Aurora – The title of this design is inspired the Chinese symbolism of the sunflower and that they consider the sunflower propitious. Aurora is the Roman goddess of the dawn and the personification of the dawn. In Latin aurora translate to dawn.

The sunflower is the Greek symbol of Clytie, a water nymph, who turns into a sunflower after grieving over the loss of her love, Apollo. Clytie, now in the form of a sunflower, is always facing the sun, looking for Apollo's chariot to return in the hope she is reunited with her love. In Chinese symbolism, the sunflower represents long life, good luck and is considered very auspicious. It's yellow color signifies vitality and intelligence as well as happiness. Sunflowers also symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity. The sunflower is also a flower essence of the Solar Plexus chakra.
