As you all know I am a nature nerd, what you might have
surmised from my designs and titles I am a hopeless romantic.To me there is something magical about winter and snow.There is a subtle beauty to the snow looking at first like a blanket of white, but then, upon a closer inspection, you see tiny diamonds, BUT WAIT, focus in closer and you see countless miniature intricate works of art, SNOWFLAKES.
My favorite time in winter is between twilight and dusk.I love to lay in the snow, on my back, gazing at the heavens above.The sky is this deep hue of blue, the color you only see in winter.You begin to see a few stars in the sky twinkle, the moon’s beams light up the snow below dancing off each snowflake creating a glimmer that mimics the stars in the infinite cobalt cosmos above.
As you lose yourself it the magnificent exquisite beauty around you, Mother Nature is not finished dazzling you.She sends petite elaborate ice crystals of art, like nothing man can create, wafting down ever so gracefully from the heavens to decorate the landscape below. The snow blankets the trees and anything else that has a cold surface.The once barren brown landscape is now covered in white glitter.The moon’s light creating sparkles off these snowflakes creating a light show that will delight your senses.The peace and silence of the night only adds to the serene and illuminating evening.Yes it is cold, but if you allow yourself to see, hear and feel the grandeur around you the temperature is no longer a factor in the experience.

This exquisite one of a kind sunflower crystal prism
suncatcher hangs from a vintage cast iron chandelier candelabra base.The wall mounted cast iron chandelier base
adjusts side to side so you can position it with the sun’s rays.The base is beautifully hand painted.This heirloom will be treasured for many
generations.
There are eight inner dangles consisting of clear 12 mm
faceted clear crystal beads, 8mm colored crystal beads and completing the
dangle is a brilliant 3.15 inch blue or yellow teardrop prism.
There are eight outer dangles consisting of 14mm clear
crystal octagon beads and completing the dangle is a dazzling 1.5 inch faceted
pear shape prism.
There is one long center dangle that consists of 12mm

Honestly - The gladioli is named for it’s shape. The name of the gladioli originates from the Latin work gladius, which translates to sword. The gladioli represents strength and integrity because it was associated with Roman gladiators. They also symbolize passion and because of the sword like shape of the gladioli’s giving a bouquet to someone means you are piercing the recipient’s heart with passion. The gladioli is the August birth flower and 40th wedding anniversary flower.

Feng Shui practices recommend
putting an image of a Frog in the east window of your home to encourage child
birth and/or happy family life.
In Scotland, the frog is seen as an
item of luck and is often given as house warming present.
As a Celtic symbol meaning, the
Frog was deemed lord over all the earth and the Celts believed it represented
curative or healing powers because of its connection with water and cleansing
rains.
Before and After - A NEW DESIGN! I have been wanting to do a
design with forget-me-nots as the subject for quite some time. I am so pleased

Forget Me Not – This is a bouquet of baby snapdragons
(yellow center), bachelor buttons A.K.A cornflower (under the forget-me-nots),
forget-me-nots and Deptford pinks (the pink outside).
Snapdragon symbolism - fascination and being cordial. It is
also a flower essence of the throat chakra.
Bachelor Buttons symbolism - bachelors wore this flower when
they were attracted to a maiden and sought to court her. The longer the
bachelor donned the flower and the longer the flower bloomed told of the degree
of his love. If the flower faded away quickly it was not meant to be.
Forget-me-not symbolism - The Forget-Me-Not flower
represents true faithful love, fond memories and hope. It is also a flower
essence of the heart chakra.

The Star of September - A bouquet of asters, snapdragons, and fuchsia.
The aster is the official birth flower for the month of September.
Asters have long been considered an enchanted flower. In ancient times, it was thought that the perfume from their burning leaves could drive away evil serpents. Today, they're known as a talisman of love and a symbol of patience, daintiness and charm.
Asters have a place in Greek mythology. It was told that the Greek Goddess Astraea was saddened by how few stars twinkled in the sky. When she wept her tears fell to earth and turned in flowers in the shape of the stars. This is where the Aster got it’s name.
Another myth is that Virgo showered the earth with stardust. The stardust thus bloomed into the beautiful Aster. The aster is also the symbol of Venus, the goddess of Love.

Fuchsia symbolizes confiding love, abundant and enchanting beauty. It is also a flower essence of the crown chakra.
