The aster is the official birth flower for the month of September.
Asters have long been considered an enchanted flower. In ancient times, it was thought that the perfume from their burning leaves could drive away evil serpents. Today, they're known as a talisman of love and a symbol of patience, daintiness and charm.
Asters have a place in Greek mythology. It was told that the Greek Goddess Astraea was saddened by how few stars twinkled in the sky. When she wept her tears fell to earth and turned in flowers in the shape of the stars. This is where the Aster got it’s name.
Another myth is that Virgo showered the earth with stardust. The stardust thus bloomed into the beautiful Aster. The aster is also the symbol of Venus, the goddess of Love.
Snapdragon symbolism - fascination and being cordial. It is also a flower essence of the throat chakra.
Fuchsia symbolizes confiding love, abundant and enchanting beauty. It is also a flower essence of the crown chakra.
