Kick Up Your Heals - This is a damselfly the smaller cousin of the dragonfly. They both have the same symbolism. This is my first design of a damselfly. Damselflies and Dragonflies symbolize prosperity, good luck, strength, peace, harmony and purity. The color blue is associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i

Did you know that dragonflies were one of the first flying insects to evolve over 3 million years ago. Scientist believe that high oxygen levels allowed dragonflies to grow to enormous size!
