New Designs

Well I am going to have to show you two new designs today as I THOUGHT I published one a week or so ago and apparently I did not!  Ooops!  Ah well, I don't think this blog really reaches many people.  If  you do happen to see it leave me a comment and let me know!

New Design!

I Remember You –  This is a design of forget me nots, a daffodil on a bed of archangel leaves.

The Forget-Me-Not flower represents true faithful love, fond memories and hope. It is also a flower essence of the heart chakra.

Medieval German folklore declares that devoted couples garnished themselves with forget-me-nots to pledge they would never forget each other when separated.

There is a German myth about a couple taking a romantic stroll along the Danube River. They spot the beautiful blue blooms of the forget-me-not. The handsome and romantic gent attempts to pick a bouquet for his love, but tragically slips and is swept away by the river’s fierce current. As he is carried away by the current he cries out to her, “Forget me not my love!” It is believed this is how the flower was named.

The daffodil symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings.  In China they symbolize prosperity and good luck.

These lovely yellow blooms are given on tenth anniversaries to express joy, happiness and cheer!

New Design!  The weather has been so amazing here that I have been focusing on my landscaping and gardens.  I have been absolutely obsessed with rocks.  There is a spot where they did some clear cutting of lumber that exposed some amazing and gorgeous rocks so I created a rock garden and collected a mass amount I use as edging for some of my flower beds.

It turned hot almost 100 degrees and I don’t tolerate heat well, this has given me some free time to create a couple of designs.  May I present…..

Heart of Gold - The yellow rose is the flower of the 50th wedding anniversary.  The yellow rose also symbolizes friendship, caring and positivity.

The origins and identity of “The Yellow Rose Of Texas” in the song by the same name have never been positively verified but it is believed to be a woman, Emily D. West who work as a housekeeper for Colonel James Morgan.  She was captured by Santa Anna Solders and was rescued during the San Jacinto battle.  It was believed that she was working as a spy for the Texan army but was never proven.

Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.
