Exuberant Ego

Before and After

Before

After

HELLO EVERYONE!  I have a new design for you! Here is the AFTER & BEFORE of a new MONARCH BUTTERFLY  design!

Are you lucky enough to be born in the Celtic Zodiac of the butterfly? I am no social butterfly that is for sure! I am hide from any social situations. I always have. I have always felt out of place and try not to draw attention to myself, which begs the question, “Why do you display your art?” It is not for attention, I create these designs because I MUST, it is in my head and I have to get them out. I have to admit there are times that I FREAK OUT showing everyone my “soul” and my circuits get overloaded and have to unplug and shut down by shutting all the blinds, turning a fan on high to drown out all noise, lock my bedroom door, and just lay in the dark. 😬 Okay too much about me…here is some information on my design.

Exuberant Ego -

The butterfly is the Celtic Zodiac for those born between September 30th thru October 27th. Those born under this sign are said to be extremely social hence the phrase, “Social Butterfly”. They are known to have a joyful personality and a cheery disposition. They are intuitively empathetic and people are drawn to their positive aura.

The Day of the Dead a.k.a. El Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. During this time the sky over the Mexican mountain village of Anguangeo is strewn with flickers of fiery orange and browns. They are not from the colors of autumn leaves but from countless monarch butterflies concluding their journey to the hills covered in firs.
The locals believe the monarchs are the returning spirits of their deceased relatives, inexplicably returning the same time every year. The ancient Aztecs believe that the dearly departed souls return as hummingbirds and butterflies.

The Mandarin Chinese word for butterfly is "hu-tieh". "Tieh" means "70 years", therefore butterflies have become a symbol for a long life.

If a butterfly crosses your path, it means good luck.

In the Japanese culture butterflies are thought to be representative of young maidens and marital bliss.

In ancient Greek the word for butterfly is "Psyche", which translated means "soul". Psyche is the Greek Goddess of souls.

Butterflies also symbolize: Resurrection, Transition, Celebration, Lightness, Time and Soul.

Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.
