Before and After - A New Design!
Synchronized Serenity - This is a widow skimmer dragonfly.
The Dragonfly symbolizes prosperity, good luck, strength, peace, harmony and
purity. The color green supports balance, harmony, love, communication, nature
and acceptance. Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and
Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i
Gracious Memories - This bouquet includes bachelor buttons
A.K.A cornflower, forget-me-nots and baby snapdragons.
Bachelor Buttons symbolism - bachelors wore this flower when
they were attracted to a maiden and sought to court her. The longer the
bachelor donned the flower and the longer the flower bloomed told of the degree
of his love. If the flower faded away quickly it was not meant to be.
Forget-me-not symbolism - The Forget-Me-Not flower
represents true faithful love, fond memories and hope. It is also a flower
essence of the heart chakra.
Snapdragon symbolism – fascination, graciousness and being
cordial. It is also a flower essence of the throat chakra.
Before and After – A NEW DESIGN! I took a little poetic
license on this design and changed the back ground gray color and added some
blue hues.
Indigo Idiom - This is a Mexican blue wing butterfly
Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated
with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence,
intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the
mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect.
The Mandarin Chinese word for butterfly is
"hu-tieh". "Tieh" means "70 years", therefore
butterflies have become a symbol for a long life. If a butterfly crosses your
path, it means good luck. In the Japanese culture butterflies are thought to be
representative of young maidens and marital bliss. In ancient Greek the word
for butterfly is "Psyche", which translated means "soul".
Butterflies also symbolize: Resurrection, Transition, Celebration, Lightness,
Time and Soul. Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and
Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.
Meditative Monday - The dragonfly is a beneficial meditation
tool. Focus on an thought with your eyes closed. Now visualize that thought
gently rising to the surface (like the dragonfly larvae does) . Allow your
thought to rise to the smooth surface of the water and gently glide across the
top. This meditation is most effective when you are concentrating on positive
outcomes.
Eclipse of the Dragon – This is a female Eastern Pondhawk
Dragonfly on a tiger lily.
The Tiger Lily symbolizes wealth and pride. In many
religions the tiger lily is presented as a sign of mercy and compassion. The
Dragonfly symbolizes prosperity, good luck, strength, peace, harmony and
purity. The color orange is said to stimulate creativity, productivity,
pleasure, optimism, enthusiasm and emotional expression. The color green
supports balance, harmony, love, communication, nature and acceptance.
