MANIC MONDAY!
Subtle Spectacle - A snowflake symbolizes individuality. Due
to their geometric forms they also represent perfection. Their clear and glassy
formation also represents purity. When it snows it seems that the world falls
into a tranquil meditation and therefore snowflakes also represent serenity,
peace and tranquility. Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin
and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i

Manic Monday!
Free Spirit - The ancient Aztecs believe that the dearly
departed souls return as hummingbirdsand butterflies. The Mandarin Chinese word for butterfly is
"hu-tieh". "Tieh" means "70 years", therefore
butterflies have become a symbol for a long life. If a butterfly crosses your
path, it means good luck. In the Japanese culture butterflies are thought to be
representative of young maidens and marital bliss. In ancient Greek the word
for butterfly is "Psyche", which translated means "soul".
Butterflies also symbolize: Resurrection, Transition, Celebration, Lightness,
Time and Soul. Symmetry is another manifestation of the balance of Yin and
Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i.

Before and After
Poseidon’s Prosperity
Interesting facts about Seahorses
•Seahorses prefer to swim in pairs with their tails linked
together.
•They swim upright and avoid predators by mimicking the
color of underwater plants.
•Except for crabs, few marine predators eat the seahorse -
it is too bony and indigestible.
•Because of their body shape, seahorses are rather inept
swimmers and can easily die of exhaustion when caught in storm-roiled seas.
•Seahorses have no teeth and no stomach. Food passes through
their digestive systems so quickly, they must eat almost constantly to stay
alive.
•Seahorses are monogamous and mate for life.
•Seahorses engage in an eight hour courtship dance which
includes spinning around, swimming side by side and changing colors.
The Ancient Greeks and Romans believed the seahorse was an
attribute of the sea god Neptune/Poseidon and as such, the seahorse was
considered a symbol of strength and power.
The ancient Europeans believed that the seahorse carried the
souls of deceased sailors to the underworld to give them safe passage and
protection until the met their soul's destination.
Chinese cultures believed that the seahorse was a type of
sea dragon, and therefor revered for their power and thought to be symbols of
good luck.
Celtic meaning of the seahorse is they are a good luck charm
of the oceans bringing sailors safe voyages and courage. It is also a the
Celtic animal sign for those born May 13th – June 9th
Sailors have long viewed the seahorse as a good luck charm
too.
Other symbolisms of this fascinating creature are: Patience,
Protection, Perspective, Inflexibility, Persistence, Friendliness, Contentment,
High-Perception and Generosity/Sharing.

Beach Bum - Interesting facts about starfish
They are not fish
they are closely related to the sand dollar and sea urchin. Scientist have
replaced their name with “Sea Star” well have tried to. We still refer to them
as starfish.
They have eyes at the end of each foot to see, although not
that well but the do see at the end of each foot.
They do not have blood or a brain. They have a sea water
vascular system Instead of blood and their nervous system is spread through
their arms. They cannot live in fresh water.
They eat inside out – the push their stomachs out of their
mouths to digest their food.
And of course the can regenerate lost arms and can live to
be 35 years old and weigh 11 pounds!
Symbolism of the starfish/sea star - The starfish is seen as
a celestial symbol, and as such, they represent infinite divine love. In
addition to love, the Starfish also holds characteristics such as guidance,
vigilance, inspiration, brilliance and intuition. In Egyptian mythology, the
Starfish is one of the many titles of the goddess Isis, under which she was
adored by tempest-tossed sailors. Symmetry is another manifestation of the
balance of Yin and Yang, of the unimpeded flow of ch'i
